This is a piece i did for my friend zia. we dont know each other very well yet, but i love her to death. It was done using variations on her fav color. it was very hard for me to work in such a monotone style. In fact this piece was hard period. It took me three tries to get this pic on the road. And yes the butterfly symbolizes transformation.
It is striking.

it is very powerful, and beautiful. I love the colors, and the emotion in the one who looks straight at the viewer, while the body of the one bound is so expressive.
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks as if the butterfly is feeding on the woman's finger, but she wants it to somehow, and ignores its predation in favor of her property below.
